Boaters Safety Readers Corner
The goal of the Reader’s Corner is for boaters to share boating safety stories with other boaters. By learning from fellow boater’s, property damage, injuries and even death can be reduced. If you have such a story please send it to jim@boatsafetynet.com.
When sharing your boating safety story please provide the following information:
1. What happened to make for an un-safe boating experience?
2. How was the situation handle to reduce the exposure to the un-safe boating incident?
3. How did it end; were there any injuries, fatalities and/or property damage?
4. Looking back what could have been done differently, if anything, in dealing with the situation at the time of the un-safe boating incident?
5. What has been done to prevent the un-safe boating incident from happening again?
6. Any additional advise on how to make boating experiences safer and more enjoyable.
